Two partners, lovers, said goodbye.
Hand in hand,
Their grip became no more,
Their deep love fell onto the floor.
The young man cried out to her,
Her cheeks were damp, the world was a blur.
"Let me go, it'll be okay,"
And so the young man faded away.
Drowning in tears the girl sat upon the grass,
Her aching sorrow will always last.
She pointed up at the night,
"I know you're there, I want to hold you tight,
The choice you made, it wasn't right."
And so she closed her sleepy eyes,
And she slept as she sobbed, she sobbed and cried.
And that cold night she dreamed of love and pride,
And that cold night an angel died.
Dancing with the stars and mist,
The young man and woman finally kissed.
What was longed yet brought to life,
Their greeting in the Afterlife.
Before they could speak they began to fade,
Back to the present day.
Sitting on a field of grass,
Their burdens cleared,
Nothing was feared.
Their kiss spoke a thousand words,
Conglomerated with the songs of the birds.
Their love was full of happiness and grace,
They fell into each other's sweet embrace.
